Another complementary product to our PBBs and Preconditioned Air Units, JBT Jetpower 400 Hz conversion equipment is an integral part of modern commercial aviation helping decrease operating and maintenance costs and reduce aircraft pollution.

Converting standard 50/60 Hz utility power into aircraft-compatible 400 Hz power using clean, efficient, reliable and maintenance-free solid-state technology, the Jetpower converters are more than 94 percent efficient. They operate as demand systems, consuming only the energy required to fulfill the aircraft’s power needs at any given time. With few or no moving parts, the units have negligible no-load power losses.

They are enclosed in rugged aluminium cases (NEMA 3R) making them suitable for operation in extreme environment conditions. All circuitry is self-calibrating with no need for customer adjustment and interchangeable modules are easily accessible through swing-down panels on the cabinet.
Each Jetpower unit is equipped with a sophisticated, comprehensive system of internal diagnostics. More than 16 critical circuits and sub-systems can be evaluated through the use of light-emitting diodes, external indicator lights and a digital alphanumeric read-out pad. A series of built-in test devices monitor key circuits providing read-outs to an externally visible digital meter.

Jetpower solid state converters have a 20-year design life.
