Apron Drive Passenger Boarding Bridges
Next page Pedestal Boarding BridgesThe Apron Drive Passenger Boarding Bridge is the most versatile and widely used aerobridge in the world. It offers maximum apron flexibility with an ability to operate over multiple centre lines serving the widest range of aircraft sizes.
Setting the standard for Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB), the Apron Drive is a telescoping passageway that can be driven to the aircraft, more configurable than fixed/pedestal bridges as it offers flexibility in which aircraft is put at a specific gate.
They are available in a variety of lengths and options depending on an airport’s requirements. Once we understand these, we provide planning and consultation services to ensure the best-fit solution.
Our high quality products are matched with our operator-friendly, superior control systems. These also provide maintenance staff a range of options in terms of fault logging and diagnostics. For example, we can provide options to allow Building Management System (BMS) integration for real-time fault monitoring and analysis and a sophisticated anti-collision system for gates where two or more bridges operate closely to each other. Unlike those which rely only on external sensors, we use a sophisticated algorithm that tracks and calculates their relative positions in real-time. The controls are also integrated into the Nose-In Guidance Systems (NIGS) with feedback from these being used to set dynamic limits depending on the type of aircraft coming to a gate This allows the bridge to be driven within pre-determined limits.
We have supplied our Apron Drive Boarding Bridges to Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Townsville airports.
